Marriage interview in Las Vegas
Hello everyone... This forum was very helpfull for me and my husband and i want to share our experience...
Timeline:
PD:05/16/2017 i485 under cuban adjustment act. I am cuban and my husband is ukranian but raised in Cuba.
06/18/2017 biometrics
8/22/2017 interview to be scheduled and just wait for a notice
04/12/2018 interview scheduled and the notice was recieved 10 days later. Interview date 5/18/2018
5/18/2018 interview in Las Vegas' USCIS office. We got there 30 min before the appt and an officer called us like 15 min after appt time. He was very nice since the very beginning and his first question was how we ended up together referring basically in what lenguage do we speak at home (spanish). After that we had to answer some yes or no questions for Homeland Security and they told us that the interview was been recorded. He ask about how did we met, when we start dating, whom proposed, how we split domestic tasks... We were very sincere and we answered all of his questions. We show him pictures and he told me to pick up 10 pics for the file and we gave him all the financial papers (taxes, bank accounts with the statements, utility bills, insurances, etc.).
When we finished he told us that he will approve it but our medical examination form was expired for 2 days and we should have a new one. So if it's more that one year that you submit the application with your medical examination form the best thing to do is take a new one to head it the interview and dont waste time. Right now when we receive the new one we have to send it to him and our i485 will be aproved finally.
So if you guys have any question just le tme know cause probably i missed something...
Good luck to everyone!!
