Visitor Visa - B2

Hi Guys,

I had my B2 visa interview today at Dubai consulate alongwith my wife and 2-year old son.

Q- what is the purpose of your trip
Q- where in US you plan to go
Q- how long?

Q- he then insisted that US trip for our baby may not be wise.
A- We said we have a family there so we will manage and since we are planning to travel after 3 months, the babybwud be 6 months by then

Q- more questions on work, employer, international travel, salary etc. For both of us. All answered.

Q- asked abt my cousin in USA. Told.

Asked when u met him last. Told we met last year in Canada since i am a Canadian PR.

He did not know much. So asked abt PR process n all. Told. Asked for PR cards which we were not carrying. We showed temp canadian visa on PP. Then went somewhr and came back n asked why visa is cancelled. We said coz this is temp. Once we landed in canada, we were given PR cards.

Q- Do u intend to go to canada on this trip.
A- no

Q- asked abt family in dubai
A- Told some cousins from family

Q- asked if any immediate family member in dubai
A- no

Q- again asked if we been to US before and if we plan to go to Canada from US
A- both answeres no

Then handed 214B and said thank you. You can apply again after reading abt this clause.

Can anyone advise what went wrong in my interview? Please if someone can speak from experience.

Also, can someone advise if i shud apply alone next time so that family ties in dubai become stronger (for me to come back)

Also, what gap shud i keep before applying again.
