Dallas i-485 marriage based interview experience
Hello,

I am sharing my I-485 (marriage based) interview experience at Dallas office (PD Jan 9th, 2017). It was on 24th May at 9:30 AM. We were called at 11:00 AM. Lady officer was so nice and in happy mood. She took my (i-485 applicant) photograph and finger print. She also took ids of both of us. She started with I-130 form and asked my wife (USC) basic questions like full name, address, DOB etc. and asked me about my current employment. I was not working at time of filing I-485. She took a note on my employment. Then she moved to I-485 and asked questions about my address, full name, DOB, and some YES/NO questions. As we both are studying, we discussed the reason for having different addresses. Then she asked for marriage certificate and new I-693. At last, she asked us that if we want to submit anything. In the response, we showed our marriage album although she didn’t ask for. It lasted for at max 10 minutes. She told that she would review sponsors documents and generate RFE if needed and ask us to leave. We were confused of having such kind of interview like not even single tricky question.

On the very next day, I found my status changed to ‘new card is being produced’.

Thanks, and hope for the best for you all.
