Interview - October 2nd, 2015
Green card did not come through since interview day(October 2nd, 2015)
USCIS requested for additional document & medical test - Aprill 2018
Supplied Additional Document Immidiately - Aprill 2018
Got Green card on - 05/31/2018
Since Residence Date on Green Card - 05/22/2018
I have applied for I-485 Adjustsment of status since March 20th, 2015. For no reason my application is not processed for so many years, After multiple follow up, I got my green card today, I was actually thinking my card will be backdated to when i applied for the Green card but it was not and with this it looks like i have to hold the green card for another 3 yrs before filing citizenship. Has anyone been in this type of situation before? Since the date on my card says , Residence since - 05/22/2018, do i have to wait for additional 3 yrs plus the other 3 yrs to become a citizen? I will appreciate anyone with an idea what could be happening in my case.
