Hi Everyone

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone in this forum you all help me a lot.

My journey started in October or 2016

P.D 10/27/16

11/8/17 Uscis accepted the fingerprint fee

11/29/16 Fingerprint

11/28/16 Got an email saying “Request for Evidence” wait for the mail to come and it was the funniest request apparently we forgot to date one page.

12/8/16 Uscis receive my evidence and start working on my case again

12/21/16 ready to schedule interview

02/10/17 got my EAD

After that nothing 3 services request 2 info pass lots of calling nothing.

08/18/ 17 Finally got schedule for interview 9/20/17 2.10pm

Day of interview arrived early 1.15 just to be safe didn’t get called until 3.25pm

IQ very nice lady she and my husband got on like house on fire they talk for like 45 minutes before she was like let me start this interview cause I have to leave at 5pm and she was like I still have another interview to do she called to get someone to take her last interview and no one would she is like I wasn’t suppose to conduct interviews today but her co-worker called out so she stuck. At end of interview she said u guys are great together and handed me a paper saying she cannot make a decision. I look at paper very disappointed and ask her do I have to wait the 120 days she is like no u will hear something sooner.

My husband was like babe don’t be disappointed she just don’t want to do any work.

10/06/17 I-130 got approved.

I started calling after a month nothing did service request, info pass, even reach out to the congressman nothing worked.

I let my EAD expired because I keep thinking it will be approved anytime

My husband decided to go to Federal Plaza , he started to tell our story to the lady at the front desk so the lady said wait u need to tell this guy your story, the guy she brought happen to be the Section Chief as my husband was telling him the story cause he was convince the IO just left it on her desk collecting dust he is like give me a minute went to the back came back with my file told my husband give him a week to fix the problem he have it to his guy ,of course week came and went nothing happen , my husband went twice back to Federal Plaza both time guy was out finally on 3rd visit chief said am sorry sir but we lost your wife file (How do u lose a file in 3 week). My husband was like what am I suppose to do the SC was like if we can’t find it you will have to file again and he said no what’s other my alternative Sc was getting approval of the Regional Director (We not sure who is that).

This was a Thursday my husband told SC I will be back on Tuesday unfortunately he couldn’t go that day I was disappointed. On Wednesday (April 18 to be exact) as he was heading out to go Federal plaza I got an email saying they ordered my new card, 7 months after my interview I was the happiest person alive.

April 23rd my card was mail out to me

April 25th card in hand was super excited because I got a 10 year green (Married June 27th) card am like all this trouble it was worth it because I do not have to go down this road again.

April 26th wend to social security and dmw office and lifted all restrictions and booked my 1st trip (going to Paris ) aboard since I came to the USA.

April 27th SC called to talk to my husband and if gave me the opportunity to say thank you to him he was like sorry for the delay but your husband really loves you and he fought for u , he was surprise when I told him I got 10 year green card,he told my husband that he would look into it and get back to us.

April 30th he called said I have to return my green card because of an error uscis did, if I don’t return it I would have problems when time for citizenship.

At that point I was just done after 7 months of waiting to be told this I just couldn’t do it anymore.

5/3/18 walked into Federal Plaza and handed in my green card in exchange for a i-1551 stamp fill out necessary paperwork to get my replacement card and am still waiting as of 6/1/18.

This journey has been a frustrating one but because of this forum I had hope.

Now am not sure if i want to go on my Paris trip which is next week because i don;t have the actual card.
