Crazy experience
Hello all
After a looooog year my adjustment of status process finally ended. Before marrying my U.S. citizen wife I was a H1B holder. My priority date was 5/31/2017 and originally filed in West Palm Beach. I am so thankful with God for receiving my green card, it is hard to believe....

9/25/2017 I-765
I moved to Orlando in 01/2018 for a new job, and changed address.
A couple months into my work I was notified that green card was required (company deals with government information, etc). They told me I would be terminated if I could not adjust my status by the summer

4/2/2018: Requested expedited processing due to financial hardship
4/9/2018: USCIS denied expedited processing (they don´t care about people)...
5/3/2018: Called congresswoman. Her aide asked me to inquire first at Field office.
5/9/2918: Infopass appointment at Orlando Field Office. IO was very nice but she said the case had not been assigned yet to the office.
5/9/2018: Called congresswoman again. Filed consent form. Besides this I clearly explained my situation: Risk of loosing my job due to residency issue (to make things worse my wife is staying home taking care of newborn baby), letter from my employer, marriage certificate, and chid birth registration.
The aide gave my documentation to the USCIS regional congressional liaison instead of the local field office. He promised a reply in 10 business days.
5/25/2018: Email from USCIS saying my card was being produced...

I was (and still am) shocked. I am adjusting my status due to marriage, so I was supposed to get an interview. The lawyer was surprised too and said that anyway we will have to be interviewed in two years to remove the conditions on my green card.

We provided a really good package one year ago, with tons of pictures, copies of travel itineraries, etc., so I guess that helped the IO to conclude ours is a bona fide marriage...

I want to express thank you very much to the people in this forum. I spend like one hour every day reading your experiences. You were very helpful preparing the initial I-485 package.. I also understand all the pain and suffering you go through. It sucks but the USCIS does not seem to care much about the suffering of people....
