Advance Parole
Hello!

I have been reading entries on this forum for a while. I applied for permanent residency last November, 2017. I am from Brazil and got married to an American, which is why I applied for the green card. I did my biometrics in December, received my Combo Card ( work authorization and advance parole) in March. I was very concerned about traveling even though I had the AP card. However everything went smoothly!

I traveled outside the US for three weeks, and returned to the Miami airport. I gave them my passport and AP card. They asked me to follow them to a little room, and I waited for about 10-15 min. They had to check that my application for adjustment of status was still pending. After that, they just stamped my passport and I was good to go!

They just need to check that your application hasn't been denied. If you have the AP card, you should have nothing to worry about. Travel! :)
