Advance Parole experience
On Monday June 4th, 2018, I returned to the USA from a month long international trip using my Advance parole based on a pending I-485 petition (family based AOS). Some background to my petition, I was approved for I-765 and advance parole back in September 2017 (PD of May 2017). Card was lost in between the Post office and my mail box. So I was asked to reapply with full fees for replacement which I did in February 2018 after unsuccessful communication between the USPS and the USCIS.

Fortunately, the USCIS was very efficient this time around as replacement was done within 2 months. In April 2018 the USCIS returned my full payment I remitted for card replacement. Instead, they generously issued me another 1-year Combo card. I hope by the time I go for my I-485 interview, my card will still be valid.

The point is that using Advance parole I was able to return to the U.S., back to my family, with no issues. The process was efficient and seamless. I thank God and this sharing community at large. Feel free to use your Advance parole.
