EAD timeline / congressman?
Hi, I am trying to understand how long it'll actually take for my EAD?
3/6 - Received I-485 Application for Adjustment of status (married to Permanent Resident)
3/6 - Received I-765 Application for EAD
4/10 - Fingerprints appointment done
4/17 - Fingerprints reviewed
5/18 - Expedite request denied: "Due to the high volume of expedite requests for this case type, we are strictly enforcing the criteria that has been set for these expedite requests. While your situation appears serious, you have not provided evidence of an extreme emergent need."

I called uscis customer service and they say the EAD may take UP TO 6 MONTHS from application (so up to September??) but it may even change.. do you know the current timeline for the EAD? I really need to start working and I don't know what to do anymore... also I read some people involved congressmen for help, how does this really work: do you have to know someone or you just contact a congressman in your state? (I am in Houston TX)
Thank you in advance for your answers
