I864 Immigrant income
We filed the I-485/I-130 in April 2017 and are currently waiting for the interview. We had an interview that was scheduled in January 2018 but got de-scheduled because we moved to a new zip code.
We filed when my husband was in grad school and I was working using my F-1 OPT work authorization. Before my F-1 EAD expired, I received my new I-485 and have been working uninterrupted. To meet the income requirements, we have used my income which was i)derived legally, ii) meets the income requirements and iii) will continue from the same source after the green card is issued. As per the instructions of the i864, we should be fine but I was curious about peoples' experience using the immigrant's income.
