Case not updated after 8 months of filing Adjustment of status
Hi,
I filed adjustment of status Oct.2017 after the priority dates were updated. went to fingerprint on Nov.2017. After that I have received no updates, no docs. I am on F1 student and holding EAD-OPT stem. My green application was F2B category ( green card through my father ) however I also got married to a US citizen on Jan 2018. I did not file again since I had a pending case and paid all fees already. I contacted USCIS several times at least for my EAD card to be issued and it has delayed for over 8 months ( normal processing time is 2 to 5 months at most ). They just reply we are experiencing a back log not related to your case and we are anticipating more delays. I am desperate that why they are not processing my case at all although I know other friends/people have sent their documents to National Benefit Center like me and received their docs ( EAD and Advanced parole ) within 2 months or less! I can not complain to them why a same center is processing 1 case in less than 2 months and mine which was sent months before is taking so much time almost 9 months. They tell me there is nothing wrong or missing with your case just a back log!!! but for over 8 months for a simple EAD card ??? Unbelievable!!
I do not know what to do? File a new i-485 through my husband or just wait again ? This is so unfair and they are not responding my case even the online status is saying " Fingerprint fee is received " and not updated to ready for interview to be scheduled.
Any ideas? suggestions or same experience? Thank You.
