Need help with REF
Hey!
After 172 days of waiting we received a REF on sponsors complete Federal Tax Income for the most recent tax year. We filed in 2017 so we had attached the sponsors tax return for 2016.
" The sponsor must submit a complete Federal Income tax return submitted to IRS for the most recent tax year. If you were not required to file a Federal income tax under U.S tax law, attach a written explanation of why you are not required to file."
So now they want the tax info for 2017. Our problem is that the sponsor has filed for extension to complete the taxes later and we do not have his tax return for 2017.
What can we do now? Do you think they accept if we just send proof that he has filed for extension, or do we just have to wait until he files them again? Does anyone have a similar experience and knows what to do?
