Adjustment of Status - I-485

I want to share my timelines and hope it will be helpful for a lot of us. This is a marriage based green card application. I am applying from Chicago.
I filled for I-485 by 10/17 .
By 10/16/17 ( Application went to the National Benefits Center )
By 11/15/17 Biometric was done, and since than I haven’t received any updates from them ( Didn’t receive a schedule for an interview or anything , it’s been about 8 months of waiting and I am so frustrated is it normal to take this long and have anyone been waiting for long as me or longer)
I filled for I-765 couple days later than I-485, and by 11/27/17 biometric was done. I called them many times and every time they tell me I will receive an update shortly, and I just got an approval by 6/20/18 and my card was ordered by 6/21/18 and I am waiting for it now.
