N400 interview Fairfax VA
Good Afternoon everyone,

As I promised before to keep everyone updated so that maybe my experience will shed some lights to others going through the same experiences.

My interview was today June 25th 2018. My PD is June 22nd 2017

First I wanted to avoid traffic and needed to be set with parking so I made it there around 7:00am even though my interview was scheduled at 8:45am. I found a great spot right across the street and completely free parking. I would have paid to be honest for that spot. There were so many spots available but all filled up around 10:00am.

My officer called me 15 minutes after my scheduled time which is great.
As we walked into the office, raised my hand and swore to tell the truth. She started with the Civics. The questions were:
-What is freedom of religion?
-Which state borders Canada? I only gave one
-How many senators are there?
-When was the constitution written?
-Which ocean is on the East coast?
Unfortunately I can't recall the last question.

Written and reading tests are very basic and done.

The officer went through my application and asked about my most recent address and verified the recent changes (I have moved in from GA approx 8 months ago)

-Asked if I traveled outside the US , how many times and if I exceeded 6 months. No more details asked.
-My current job and what I do.
-My previous job
-If I owe any money to the IRS which I dont.

All the legal questions and then later I mentioned I had one speeding ticket. She asked if I paid and I confirmed I did and she didn't really care after that. She said it isn't a biggie as long as I paid.

-Asked me if I wanted to change my name and I said I want to remove my both middle names so she advised that will be a name change request and I will do that at the courthouse. She confirmed this shouldn't delay my application at all.

-My application was initially based on asylum so she asked what kind of asylum and I replied in 3-4 words and that was enough. She didn't ask for details and I did not want to provide a lengthy answer unless she asked which she didn't.

The officer congratulated me and said she recommended me for approval and I should hear back regarding my oath within 2 weeks. She was very respectful and also very professional.

My timeline is:
Applied in Atlanta GA on June 19th 2017
Case received on June 21st 2017
PD June 22nd 2017
Bio letter received July 1st 2017
Bio completed on July 13th 2017
Case stuck on "We sent you a notice for finger prints"

November 27th 2017 I moved to VA and updated my address online.
December 10th 2017 I received a notice in the mail with my address change confirmation.

May 10th 2018 in line for interview
May 21st 2018 Interview was scheduled
May 28th 2018 letter received with interview date at Fairfax VA for June 25th
June 25th 2018 Interview completed with recommended for approval

Now I am waiting for my oath letter. I hope the wait is not going to be very long however at this point, waiting doesn't matter anymore.

I wish you all the best of luck and please let me know if you have any questions. Study your application and for your civics very well !

Have a great day!
