OCI in lieu of PIO Update (DC mission)
Greetings all,
I received a call for the old PIO card today from CKGS, which I plan to deliver in person tomorrow morning.
Key dates for me:
Submission of hard copies of the application in person at CKGS - Mar 8
Acknowledgement date - Mar 20
OCI printed and received at the DC mission (from MEA Delhi) - Jun 12
Call for old PIO - Jun 28.
So, it took 2.5 weeks since the embassy received the OCI from Delhi for CKGS to ask for the old PIO card. I'll find out tomorrow how much longer. I expect about a week, and this whole fiasco will come to an end.
I'll keep you all posted.
