Hey y’all. Finally did my interview yesterday 06/28 at the Dallas office in Irving, TX. The interview went smooth, the officer was very nice. She made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Interview was scheduled for 8:45am and we got called in abt 9:15am. It lasted about 45 mins.
Brought joint documents such as
Joint bank account
Joint tax return
Car insurance
401 K beneficiary
Lease
Dental insurance
Trips taken
Utility bill
Photo album
The question tht she asked were pretty straightforward.
To Spouse (USC)
-What’s your full name?
-Where do you work?
-Whats your Date of Birth?
-Whats your spouse Date of Birth?
-Where was your spouse born country and city?
To me:
-How, when and where you met your spouse?
-Why did I decide to stay?
-Who proposed?
-When was the first time we saw each other?
-What do I prefer here over my home country?
It was more of a chit chat session we had during the 45mins, she took all the joint documents and put with the folder that she had. she told us she will approve the I-130 but Will approved the I-485 after she completed the background check. Didn’t receive an update or anything but I’m confident I will get one soon enough. Y’all please ensure if it’s over a year that you did your medical and it expires you need to do another one.
