It's FINALLY Done. 334 Days!
Hi all,
Sharing my full timeline here, because this forum has been so helpful in offering guidance, doses of sanity through what has been a lengthy and tedious process.

-July 31: Application received
-August 28: Biometrics
-January 8: EAD approved
-January 12: EAD received
-May 5: Interview ready to be scheduled
-May 26: Interview scheduled for June 26
-June 26: We did our interview in Fairfax, VA. I was very nervous but very prepared, brought along extra evidence, and we arrived 35 minutes before our interview. Everyone was so nice and respectful. Our officer had problems with the computer so we had to wait little extra time (about an hour). She was super professional, pleasant and direct. She also seemed busy, so we tried to be efficient with our answers and her time. We were asked questions related to family, work, travel, how we met, etc... nothing out of the ordinary. I had a big pile of papers with me, that she didn't need or request. At the end she said she believes our marriage is bona fide and will approve us, and we should hear back in 4-6 weeks. The whole thing lasted around 25-30 min. We thanked her, and left to go watch a world cup game, and i kept waiting for the online notification but nothing came that day.
-June 30: I was walking downtown (listening to Drake's God's plan), and i get a text from USCIS on update, followed by email that card is produced. USCIS website has now a tracking number on my case. I came home, and letter of approval was in mailbox.

Card should be here Monday. It's a happy day for us, a sense of relief that the system works, the process works, and we have to keep faith. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. Wish you all genuinely the best of luck, and thank you for making this long journey less ambiguous and less stressful.
