Filling out I-864
Hey all! We filed the I-485/I-130 concurrently at the NYC field office in May 2017. Everything was accepted and we had an interview scheduled that was later descheduled in December 2017.

As my husband was in school and I was employed with legal work authorization, we decided to use my income to meet the income requirements. I have since worked at the same company uninterrupted and with valid work authorization. To be on the safe side, however, my husband and I have arranged for a joint sponsor. We are planning on taking the joint sponsorship information with us to the green card interview just in case they say they wont accept my income.

Has anyone ever done this? Is the I-864 straightforward to fill out or would you recommend a lawyer? We do have a lawyer but he says that we are good and don't need a joint sponsor. My husband and I just want to play it safe, if that makes sense.
