H4 to F1 Stamping - Vancouver, Canada
Hello Everyone,

This group have been a great source of help for me and now it's time to share my experience and give back to the group.

Current Visa- H4, expired on March 2018. Change of status to F1 applied in January 2018. USCIS processing time as of May 2018 was showing as 8 - 12 months, hence decided to go for F1 stamping.

June 17th - Reached Vancouver
June 18th - Visa Interview at 7.45 AM

Interview went very smooth, took hardly 30 seconds.

Questions : Which course? Where do you stay? Who is your sponsor? (Husband in my case) What does he do? Where does he work? Where is he located? -> Your visa is approved, you can collect your passport in 3-5 days.

The Visa Officer was a lady and for almost 15 people in front of me in the queue, it took less than a minute for each of their interviews.

June 18th afternoon - Status administrative processing
June 19th -Status changed to Visa Issued
June 20th - Delivered at friend's place (as I've opted for express delivery)
June 22nd - Back to USA

Good Luck!
