We did a lot of research beforehand but decided to go with a lawyer just in case, found a nice man that helps low-income families and he went over everything and was impressed with our research. It's possible to do yourself but there are resources out there to help! Weren't originally going to get an EAD but he pointed out that you can get a social security number after you get an EAD, which helps a lot with getting bank accounts and things.

Waiting to see if we get an RFE or if a card comes in or interview gets scheduled.. so hard to play the waiting game but grateful that it's moving fast so far. Good luck to everyone here. My heart goes out to all of you
