Should I Try To Expedite I-131?
Hey guys,

I’m due to travel in two weeks, sent my documentation for my I-131 back in March. Submitted my Biometrics at the end of April. I’m yet to hear anything about a decision, however, on Monday, after a call with an Immigration officer, we were told that an officer was reviewing our case and that a decision *should* be reached in 2 weeks. However, my case status has not been updated to reflect this, so I’m not sure if this was just a rough estimate given by the officer or not. So, I’m wondering if I should just wait out the 2 weeks and hope it’s done before I travel, or if I should move to expedite the application based on the fact that I stand to be subject to severe financial loss if I can’t travel (Roughly to the time of $30,000).

Does anyone have any advice on this? Should I wait it out? Or should I try and make an appointment to expedite a new I-131 application?

Thanks!
