Traveling to Hawaii
Hi everyone! Just curious - I am going for vacation to Hawaii this September. It is absolutely clear for me that Hawaii is part of the United States, but my lawyer said that I shouldn't go because despite of the fact that it's a US territory, I'm still going to leave the continent, what can cause problems at the border. Does anyone had problem with traveling to Hawaii? My background - applied for AOS, my PD is 7/2017, I have an EAD and advance parole and now waiting for an interview (NY) , the only black point is that I came to the US with an Esta and overstayed it with like 2 months, before my PD. I was already married though to a US citizen before I came here with the ESTA. But because of this the lawyer doesn't recommend me to leave the country at all, however as far as I know, there is no such a statement that you can't travel to US territories what are out of the continent.

Thanks for any comments!
