How early should you apply for EAD? How do you let your employer know about your job status?
So I applied mine ~4.1 months before my current EAD expiration date.

I keep searching the website and some websites says 90 days, 120 days, and some 180 days.

But I believe OPT cannot apply before 90 days. Rest can apply 120 days earlier... and under certain category, some people can apply 180 days earlier.

:/ I feel like they should allow everyone to apply 180 days earlier if its going to take this long... to have the job/financial security.

When did everyone apply for their EAD's (3 months ahead, 4 months ahead, or 6 months ahead)?

I showed my employer that I applied early enough.. like 123 days before expiration.

Instant regret that I did not apply 180 days earlier if I knew there was this much delays in the EAD card.

How do you guys talk to the HR and your employer/boss if your EAD is expiring but like you have have additional 1 month delay?

I have been working for ~6 months but HR has been kind always reminding me that my card is expiring soon in September 2018. I haven't told my boss yet since I still have ~1.2 month before expiration. I applied 123 days before expiration. My lawyer thinks if there is any delay (which there may be....) it will be most likely another 1 month of delay.

How do you guys handle with HR/boss about EAD delay given that you have applied 120+ days earlier before expiration? How do you communicate with your boss and HR to take on leave and not be terminated of employment? Anyone have experiences and can give me advise? I really do not want to lose my job. : ( Counting down the days have been really stressful for me.

This is my first job that I got after graduating from university. And I do not know how to approach this topic. I still have 1 more week left before it is 1 month before expiration... and I want my boss to know 1 month ahead. I have been thinking how to approach it but it is just stressful even thinking about it. Please advise :( greatly appreciated!!
