Change of legal status after Parole
Hey guys,
I am here in the US on H1B and my wife came as a dependent with H4. Both of us have received our AP document plus and EAD card. Now I have concerns about taking a temporary trip outside the US in case I have to do it because of the status change. I have read somewhere that when you enter the country on AP, you lose your H1B status, which in my case may also mean that my wife loses her H4 status as it depends on my H1B. You are no longer "admitted" but instead "paroled" into the country.
What would that mean for our pending AOS applications and my job?
My guess is that I would have to submit my EAD card to my employer for them as a basis for employment because I wouldn't have the H1B status any more. When I was applying for EAD, they instructed me to not use the EAD when I get the card and keep using my H1B status for employment because if the AOS application is denied, EAD privileges are lost, whereas H1B can be extended.

Does anyone have any experience on this change of status issue from and its implications for living/working in the US?
