GC for non national spouse of Cuban through CAA
I need an advise/help from all of you in the same situation or that have passed through it.

Field office: Fairfax VA.
ADJ through marriage with GC holder using the Cuban Adjustment Act.

TIMELINE:
July 11th: case received
July 17th: Notice date
Oct 27th: text received EAD mailed
Oct 30th: Combo card (employment & travel card) received.
May 10th 2018: Interview letter for scheduled notice received.
*Interview schedule for June 14th 2018 at 7:30am: I cancelled as me and my husband had plans to go abroad (to Europe) for almost the whole month of June. Then, they re-scheduled it for June 29th, then they cancelled it, and sent me a new schedule date for July 10th 2018 at 7:30am.
July 10th 2018: Interview at 7:30am, we arrived a little late but the officer was nice enough and said that things happens.

The interview went well, we swear, went to yes/no questions, he said it’s his first Cuban Adjustment Act for a non Cuban spouse but said that it should be fine with the explanation that my lawyer sent with my case, then he went through all my information making sure all was correct and all my husbands info as well... then he went through my immigration history (I have had Q1, J1, and the last TN), he said that all my history is clear. Then he went to my husbands which was pretty simple as he came through the Cuban adjustment act and that’s the act I am applying for my GC as well as a husband of a Cuban National green card holder.

Then, he asked to tell him how we met and our story as a couple.
At the end he said all is clear for him and does not have any more questions for us, and that I will be hearing from them within 1-2 months. Although he didn’t give us any letter or anything like that.
I asked him of wether or not should I renew my EAD as it expires in October, he said I shouldn’t be worry for it as for sure I should receive something within 1-2 months.

It’s been almost a month and hasn’t heard anything yet, all days checking mail, emails or text and nothing. Don’t want to freak out yet, but I have the next doubt for you all...

I have heard and read that my EAD renew automatically for another 6 months if I renew? How long before expiration is it recommended to send my renewal form to USCIS?
Do I have to receive something from USCIS stating is automated renewed?
How does it work?

Thank you all!!!
