Sharing Timeline
Hi everyone,

I was a silent reader for a few months now. I think it is time to share my timeline.

I came to the US on a J-1 visa in 2015. I met my husband in 2016 and we got married in December 2017. We hired a lawyer who filed the necessary forms for us in January 2018. In our case, the most important forms were I485, I130, I765, and I131.

01/29/2018: Case received

02/05/2018: the date on the notices of action

02/16/2018: Notice for Bio-metrics received
02/28/2018: Bio-metrics appointment

06/20/2018: Approved your case for EAD and AP (on myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov )
06/20/2018: Combo card being produced (on myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov )
06/22/2018: Combo card mailed (on myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov and egov.uscis.gov/casestatus )
06/25/2018: Notice of approval for I765 and I131 received (dated 06/20/2018)
06/27/2018: Combo card delivered

08/07/2018: Interview was scheduled (on egov.uscis.gov/casestatus )
08/13/2018: Notice for interview received (dated 08/07/2018)

09/13/2018: Interview

For the combo card, the status was updated first on myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov and later on egov.uscis.gov/casestatus. For the interview, it has been updated only on egov.uscis.gov/casestatus so far. So, keep an eye on both trackers.

Based on our zip code, we should be with the Boston office (MA) but our interview was scheduled in the Lawrence office.

When I got the notices of action, they had my birth date wrong (swapped month and date). I mentioned it during my Bio-metrics appointment in Revere and they corrected it on the spot. When finally received my combo card, it had the correct birth date (Yay !!)

I am still working on my J-1 visa and I have not left the country since filing, so I have never used my combo card so far.

I will update you after my interview.

Good luck to everyone.
