smooth re-entry
Hi I would like to share my experience with traveling outside the US through advance parole. Like everyone, I shared the same concern and fear of not being allowed to re-enter US because I still don't have my greencard. I traveled back to the US last 08/11/2018. My point of entry was at LAX. At the customs border, as soon as I reached the officer, I told him that I am on a parole and handed my receipt notice, approval notice and actual parole document. I was told by a friend to hand over all three because that is what she did a few months ago. I was brought to a room and the officer advised the screening officer that I have a connecting flight in <hour so they prioritize my documents. I stayed there for less than 15mins and the officer came out with my stamped passport and told me to go fast as the boarding of my connecting flight already started. It was a smooth re-entry, far from what I have feared. If you have a medical emergency and have a valid parole, although risky, take your chance.

PS: do not use your phone when inside the room, the officers get annoyed. Also, pray as it really help. There was 7 of us in the room when I entered and 5 of us were allowed re-entry and the other 2 were just waiting when I left the room.
