2 Years since Application filed and 1year since Interview
Hello
I had interview on July 25th 2017 and Yes it had been over a year.
I believe the IO who interviewed us was being supervised/trained(There was another guy in the room taking notes and it was the same for
everybody that she interviews that day).
Wife interviews lasted about 15mns and mine was about 10mns.we already I-130 approved before we sent the I-485 Forms.she asked my
wife about our who/what/where about pictures and parents name and our addresses. She told my wife that it shows in the system that our I130
is well approved but she couldn't find/get the approval notice from the other IO who interviewed at that time. (We did send I-130
Approval notice with our I-485 Forms.).She interviewed & asked me about our addresses and parents .where I work and my school and my
wife's school and Major. she asked my wife if I ever changed my name or go by another name and my wife said No. She asked me the same
question and said No then I said only
my grandpa had a shortcut name for me but thats just because he couldn't spell my home but nobody calls me that name.
At the end, she told me everything looks good but she just couldn't get hold off the I-130 Original notice form the Other IO officer. I had a
bunch of documents as proofs, she wanted to make copies then she figured I had a lot so she said that she doesn't need all that since we
already have the I-130 Approved and she'd definitely get in touch with me if she ever needed anything. She gave me a Notice saying that
they couldn't make a decision on the spot and they'll send me a notice of their decision. I have a feeling that it's because she was being
Supervised/Trained so that's understandable but it has been over a year now.
I have to contact the Senator office they sent me an email saying that my case is
with the officer for review and that they'll reach out to them again in a month if they don't hear anything and this was about 6 months ago. I call at least 2/3 times every month until last week, USCIS sent me an email saying that my Case is under extended review.
Any pieces of advice or anybody through the same experience?
Should I get a lawyer? I can't even find any openings for Info-Pass.
Thanks
