HAD GREEN CARD INTERVIEW 3 DAYS AGO
I recently went to the interview with my wife. They interviewed us separately from the beginning to the end. Although the officer said she needs more time to make a decision, I am 100% positive our answers were convincing. She’ll send a mail in which she may write her decision or require more documents.

The short story is this: She said the red flag was that I never lived continuously for at least 8 months with my wife in the same house. But the truth is that I had to stay at the state where my school was. I was living with my wife only during the break ( like summer break, end of fall semester, spring break, etc).

One of the important questions was why I never transferred to another school where I could live in the same house with my wife. We told her that attending my school was very beneficial because we didn’t want to lose the advantage of paying in-state tuition. Elsewhere, I’ll have to pay as an international student, which means 3 times more than the amount I’m paying in my current school.
Now I’m with my wife in the same house because I’m about to graduate. The only class I have left I’m taking it online.

We brought many evidences, such as phone call history for a year and a half, bank statements for this month and some for 2 years back, pictures of my wife’s parents who traveled from home... They stayed with us this summer for months before they went back home. Documents showing my wife and I working for the same company, medical insurance, car title, and many other proves. However, she just chose to stick with her original thinking.

Briefly, in my opinion, I’d say all the answers we gave were convincing and understandable. At my turn during the interview, I could see that she didn’t know what to ask anymore because everything seemed clear after responding to her questions.

My question is how long do you guys think she could take to send the mail? Also, do you think we have any chance to be approved?? Is there anything I should consider doing while waiting for the mail??
