Thank you for a lot of experience reminds me about expiration of medical examination. I have my interview after one year of submitting so I did the exam again. Actually, the IO was very surprised that I did the medical exam again. He said a lot of people didn’t know about the expiration and it makes the case take longer to be approved at the interview. One of my friends didn’t listen to me about that so she have to wait after the interview until she can submit the new medical exam.
About my interview, it went very well. My IO was very nice and friendly. I was very nervous before the interview but he made everything easier with his attitude. He started the interview with something that you swear to say the truth. Then he asked some simple questions from the form like what my name is, my DOB, where I was born, what my current living address, who I live with, how I entered to USA( I have F1- student vstudent visa), which school I studied, my husband ‘s name, his DOB, if I work right now and where, and he asked me yes-no question from I 485. Then he switch to ask my husband like what’s his name, where he works, what job is he doing, if my husband got married before, when he got divorced. My husband didn’t answer it correctly because he couldn’t remember exactly time. He just said it’s been a long time. Haha, and it seemed not to be a red flag for the IO at all. The IO is very nice for the whole time. Then he asked us who was the one more romantic. We looked at each other and couldn’t decide who was. The he said he would like to hear some parts of our love story. We talked about our trips and the IO also had a chit chat with us about our trip to see eclipse last year. Finally, he asked if we have some new evidence to show him today and we have him some photos, joint tax return, joint insurance. At the end, he said if he could approve our case today, we should receive green card within 2 weeks. If he needs something more, he will mail us later. That’s all for our interview. Even though he didn’t approve in the spot, I got notice that our new card is being produced after 1 hour of interview,
Thanks all you guys a lot for what you share on this forum. It helped me a lot
