Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hey guys!

So yesterday I went for my i-485 interview with my husband (No attorney), and it was surprisingly fast. We arrived there at 8.30 and was immediately brought in to meet the officer. Our appointment was at 8.45 am. We brought 3 folders (binders) worth of documents:

Folder 1: Documents (Thanks to UScitizenfilingforspouse for providing the links to the table of contents)
Folder 2: Pictures organized in this way; 1. Wedding. 2. Family. 3. Times spent together. 4. Screenshots of text messages. 5. Screenshots of phone calls.
Folder 3: Originals

I had sticky tabs on the documents to help the officer navigate the docs easier. Also, it seems more organized.

Anyway, Got thre and had to be sworn in. We sat down and the officer asked for our IDs, went through our application forms and verified our parents' date of birth on the forms and then asked us to sign the forms. Then he asked me the YES/NO questions and i answered No to all of em'. Then he said "So I believe that initially when you first sent in your applications, which I have em' right here, seems perfect enough. You sent in pictures, affidavits, joint bank statements... your application was perfect. Is there anything else you'd like to add today?" Then my husband said "Would you like the whole folder?" and pointed to the ones we just brought in, and he said "No, I have enough right here. Just any extras or any new stuff you'd like to give me today, if there's nothing, you don't have to." Then I gave him my updated joint bank statements (3 months worth - debit and credit), advanced health care directives (health care proxy) and my affidavit of residence. That's it.
He took them and immediately said ' IM APPROVING YOU RIGHT NOW. Your card will be mailed to you in 2-3 weeks. Congrats!"

My husband and I were shocked.... he didn't ask us a single question regarding our marriage. He didn't even look or touch any of the folders we brought in. He didn't look at our photo album, nothing.
I also asked if I needed a stamp for my passport and he said no and that they don't do that anymore. Then as soon as we got out, like 15 mins later, I got a notification saying that my card is in production.
Whoohoo! Thank God! I can finally relax. All those months of waiting finally paid off, God is Great!

Guys, FRONT LOAD your application. That's what I did and the officer didn't even interrogate us at the interview. Heck, it felt like as though we were already pre-approved and that we went to the interview as just a formality, like part of the procedure.
So again, front-load your application and pretty much front-load at the interview too. I think as soon as the officer saw us bring in our 3 thick folders, he didn't even bother to question us anymore because he knew we came prepared and that we mean business!
Show that you have nothing to hide.
