Visits while waiting for I-485?
Hello!

I have to say it is really empowering to have a site like this, where we can all speak about our immigration experiences and in a way, vent about our similar struggles.

I am a USCitizen and my spouse arrived to the US from Mexico last year in November, with a visitor visa. We submitted our I-485 paperwork (Adjustment of Status) in May of this year. We received the receipts notices a month later and the appointment for my spouse's fingerprints two weeks later. My spouse had their fingerprints taken in June.

For the most part we are just waiting impatiently; we know this takes time. However, we were wondering, particularly for those of you waiting for their residency through a spouse, inside the US. Have you had people visiting you from other countries and providing your name and address when entering the country? My spouse is nervous about having his mom provide our information (i.e. names, address) and then having the officer, at the airport, inquire about my spouse's legal status...Have any of you been in this situation?

Hopefully my question makes sense!

Thanks'
