Interview: Aug 23, 2017 NYC Field Office
Hey all, sharing my experience here in case someone's waiting like I am. Our marriage-based interview seemed like it went well; we answered all the questions correctly (questions from I-485, how we met, when and how my husband proposed, what's the name of our best-friend, have we met each other's family etc.) and the IO essentially insinuated that she believed in the bona fide nature of our marriage. At one point she asked if we wanted kids and seemed genuinely excited that we were planning on starting a family soon. However, she did not make a decision at the spot and said that she had 120 days to decide. She said this twice and then also said that it shouldn't take as long as 120 days. Overall interview lasted around 20 minutes.
Online status still says interview was scheduled. It's been 17 months since we first filed and I'm really starting to get frustrated.
We provided a ton of evidence (Health, dental and life insurance; joint tax returns; joint bank account statements; lease and rent invoices from the last 2 years; trips taken together; cards from friends; emails etc). I hope we hear something soon.... is anyone else also waiting? I hope it works out well for all of us!!
