Vancouver stamping experience
Hello,

I had my visa interview on September 18 in Vancouver Canada, below is my background,

1. Came to US on dependent visa L2 , got the job on L2 and changed to H1 through the same employer.
2. Working for the same employer as FTE since 3 years.
3. My kid is on H4 visa as my dependent.

September 18

Appointment time : 7:45 am

I and my kid reached the venue by 7:30 am and there were very few people who had already reached the place. First, there was a security check. I just took documents and small wallet with me. No phones, no big purses and no electronic items are allowed. In the second floor again there is one more airport style security check and then the biometrics. I initially selected toronto while filling DS-160 and so they took some time to transfer that to vancouver. Later they took us to the top floor where the actual interview took place.

Below are the questions that were asked,

1. Which company do you work for?
A. answered

2. What do you do there?
A. answered

3. Total how much experience do you have in this field?
A. answered

4. What is your highest degree?
A. I said I have a bachelors degree

5. VO specifically asked in which field do I have the bachelors?
A. I said Mechanical Engineering.

6. What is your husband's status? Is he still on L1?
A. answered

7. Which location are you working at?
A. answered (FYI- I am working at the company headquarters)

Thats it, VO said my visa is approved. They didn't even ask for any supporting documents. They took our passports and my I797 original.
