Santa Ana, Ca - AOS Interview
Good Morning Guys,

Just want to share my interview experience with you.

My interview was yesterday at 12:45pm. I arrived 30 minutes early, sat down and waited to be called. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. We were sworn in and then asked me for my complete legal name, date of birth and how many times I have been married. He questioned my name because apparently my attorney misspelled it. It ends in a "Y" and they put an "A". He corrected it and moved on. My medical paperwork expired so he asked for the new ones, birth certificates and marriage license. He asked if we had children together which i respond with a no but I have a daughter from a previous relationship. The father is no listed in the birth certificate since we separated before she was born so he asked a few questions about him. He turned to my husband and asked him his name, address, DOB and if how many times he had been married. He asked us for any proof of our marriage which we didn't have a lot. I gave him our joint statements, car insurance, copies of email and text. We live with my parents and the lease is under their and my name since we have never renewed it. I have been living there since before I met him. My mom does give us receipts under both our names so I gave those as well. I had letters from family and friends but I was so nervous that I totally forgot to give them to him. He asked my husband about to tell him a little about of relationship, how it started. My husband gave him a brief but straight to the point answer. Then he asked to see our pictures, told me to choose 8 of them. He made copies of them and other documents I had given him and then said we were done. That I should receive their answer in the mail.

About 5:00pm my case status updated to "Your interview was completed and your case must be reviewed. We will mail you a notice if we make a decision or take further action." Now I am more anxious than before. The interviewer was very professional, meaning he was not nice nor rude. But I really thought our interview went pretty well. Now I am doubting it since the case is being reviewed. I am also worried that my name being spelled incorrectly had something to do with it too.
