Visa stamping experience in Toronto
This forum has helped me very much during this process, hence decided to give something back to the community.

Visa interview experience H1B and H4 (working with EAD). Second stamping for H1B.
Visa interview date 26th Sept 8:00am in Toronto.

Me and my spouse are Canadian PR holder. We were traveling with a 5 month old infant and we took him to the interview as well. Thankfully he was clam the whole time we were in the consulate.

We had taken the stroller with us and realized that it’s not allowed so we asked one of the folks waiting for a later appointment to look after it while we go in. Thank you to that gentlemen if you are reading!

Reached the location around 7:25 and we were in the building in 10 mins (after the stroller shenanigans).
Same experience as everyone, security screening. We had taken milk for the kid had to taste it in-front the guard.

First window for DS 160 and fingerprint. Passport and I-797 was provided in a transparent blue folder for the next step of interview with the visa officer.

Had to wait in line for roughly 20 mins before the interview. During the interview -

Questions to me while my wife was holding our kid.

Q. What was your research on? Multiple questions to me a lot on the details of the masters thesis/project. The visa officer was noting down everything I was saying and asked to me repeat a few words where I might have gone a bit fast. This went for for almost 2-3 mins.

Q. Do you have a copy of your resume
Handed over my resume. Visa officer was looking for the Masters project details in the resume. I only have one line on the resume for my masters education.

Q. Have you mentioned the details on masters in your resume?
A. I have not.

Visa officer - thank you. Asked my spouse to step forward as she started asking her questions. I was holding our kid then.

Questions to my spouse-
Q. What’s your highest level of education?
A. Masters in xxx

Q. What do your do?
A. I work on H4 EAD for xxx

Q. What do you do for your job?
Some more questions on job responsibilities and understanding the role. The visa officer was typing while we were speaking.
