Visa Stamping Experience : Toronto, Canada
I want to thank everyone who posted their experiences. It was very helpful.
I had my H1B approved in 2016 and I scheduled my stamping interview on September 20, 2018 in Toronto. I am in EVC model and I have done Masters in US.

My Interview time was 8:45 but I reached around 8ish. People were already in queue.
Document Verification & Fingerprinting was very smooth. I stood up in a line then waiting to be called for the interview.

VO: Hello
Me: Good Morning Sir.
VO: Good Morning. Please hand me the blue folder.
Me: Sure. (Handed him the folder)
VO: (Looking at the i-797 & after typing for 30 seconds) So How long you have been working with (Employer)?
Me: I am working with them for April, 2016.
VO: What do you do for them? And What is your role with (Employer)?
Me: Told him the Position & explained him the responsibilities.
(He took the passport, turned the microphone off and went inside for 3 minutes. Longest 3 minutes of my life)
VO: I see that you work for the (Client), where is that company located?
Me: Told him the city, state
VO: How did your employer find this client?
Me: They are associated through a Vendor company called (vendor), located in (city, state)
VO: Ok. How much your employer pays you?
Me: **** * USD Per Year
(Again, turned the microphone off and started talking with his colleague for 2 minutes. Not sure about me or something else)
VO: Do you have immediate family in Unites States?
Me: Yes sir, I have my wife with me on H4 Visa.
VO: Is she here with you in Canada right now?
Me: Yes sir.
(Types something for 2 minutes, pulled a green slip stating ‘221g – Refusal Notice” and started typing date and passport number on it. That’s where I lost some confidence)
VO: I don’t have any issue in approving you visa but your status is still showing as “Student” in our system. We need to further verification at our end. We don’t need anything for you right now. Please allow 5 business days for your status to be updated.
Me: Am I supposed to provide any information or documents?
VO: Not right now. We will contact you in that case.
Me: Thank you. Have a great day..

In 2 hours, I saw my status got changed to “Administrative processing”.

On September 28th, My Status got changed to “Issued”

On October 2nd, I got the email that Passport has been dispatched from the consulate.

On October 3rd, I picked up the Passport.

All the best to everyone going for the interview.
