Visa Stamping from Canada/ Mexico

I had a nerve wracking 221G at Ottawa last week (1st Oct). There are two officers are Ottawa, and they have been issuing forms for "more processing needed". I saw 3 people ahead of me (two white guys and one Asian) get the same "We need more processing time from our end and will contact you further". I was able to hear these lines because the Mike was loud enough for everyone in the line to hear.

When it was my turn, I was asked the following-
1. Is this your first H1B stamping
Me - No, my 5th or 6th stamping.

2. Are you a direct employee of this company or are you outsourced to client?
Me - I am outsourced to client.(this answer didn't seem to please the officer)

3. Show me your client letter.
Me - I passed on the client letter. She started reading line by line.

4. We need to do some more processing on your case. Here is your passport back and you'll receive email from us
Me -. Thank you. Do you know how long it will take
She said "We don't know the time, just keep checking your emails.

So currently I am stuck in Canada for a week and waiting for their email. Not sure if I should buy tickets for India and return when I get the email.

Just FYI. The only person in the line (at least what I heard) whose visa for approved was a young man who was applying for visa to play hockey in North Carolina. I hear the visa officer tell him "Your visa is approved".
