H1-B Visa in Construction Management
Hello Everyone,

I am currently working as an Project Engineer in a construction company. The company i work for submitted the H1B petition and was approved. I had my Visa Interview today (Oct 11, 2018) and the consulate gave me the blue 221(g) slip and advised my case will be going through administrative processing. He had also mentioned that there is nothing to be concerned about and no additional documentation is needed. however, i am highly concerned.

The only thing i can think of is, on my OPT extension i-983 form my designation is called out as assistant project manager, where i got promoted from project engineer. Then, when my petitioner filed H1B, they filed with my current role- Project Engineer. So the i-983 calls out Assistant Project Manager and my approved H1B petition calls out as Project Engineer. Is this something to be concerned about ?

Are lots of cases randomly going through Administration Processing ? Is there any thoughts or advises ?

Thank you.
