EAD and RFIE
Hi everybody !
It’s a cry for hope , i really need to know if some of you has been in the same situation that I am now 🙏🏽
Here’s my timeline : for I-485 and I-765 and AP - K1 visa - married to USC
- PD : 05/02/2018
- Fingerprints appointment : 06/04/2018
- Fingerprints reviews : 06:25/2018
- I’ve been patient, and wait by hubby support me 100% but we have bills so I am starting to freaking out in September
- 09/18/2018 : I called USCIS to expedite my EAD -ok
-09/19/2018: oh surprise I have a RFIE on my I-485 after 4 and half month of waiting, I cried that day because I’ve read that is reset my clock to 0 for all my pending applications.
-09/21/2018 : I received a response to my expedite saying that I can’t expedite my EAD due to RFIE on I-485 ( oh really ? 🙄lol) but I can expedite again when they’ll receive it.
- 09/22/2018 : i received the hard copy of the RFIE , thank god it is not lost.
-09/24/2018 : I responded to the RFIE with evidence ( they wanted an IRS issued most tax return, ny husband submitted only the 1040 and apparently it has to be the IRS one )
-09/27/2018: notification.that they received my respond to their request. I am like cool I am gonna ask an expedite agzin for my EAD.
-10/01/2018: I called them to expedite a second time-ok. I call back on the 5th October because I found it weird that on the 1st my request was completed and I had no answer. They told me to call back on October 11st because I should have a response then ( a tier 2 officer told me that ) soooo I did AND when I called on the 11 October another tier 2 told me that I can’t expedite my case because they received Response to RFiE on the 27th September and now they have 60 days to make a decision.... ok well at least she is honest but want to cry again 😢
- By the meantime ( October 7th) i try to reach out to 2 of my senators ( my congressman is retired and no longer accept cases .. my luck !). I send released of privacy form and for now no responses :(
- 15/10/2018 : notification for my I-485 : case is ready to be scheduled an interview
What about my EAD which’s now more important that my GC? Do you think I will have news from them soon since that now my response to RFie had clearly been reviewed and accepted.
I am really trying to stay positive but it’s getting harder , the waiting game is the worst.
