Me: hello officer, howdy.
VO: smile exchange.
Me: here is my passport and 797... passing
VO: thank you, she scans passport. then type for a while.
VO : so this is your first ...
Me: yes this is my first h1b. Smile
VO: ohkkay, smile back.
VO: who is your employer?
Me: << a very well known silicon maker >>
VO : Ok
VO : keeps typing slowly while I am maintaining smile.
VO: so what is your exact title.
Me: my exact title is XYZ engineer. Smile.
VO: You are working on inhouse project/team right ?
Me: Yes officer.
VO: So whats your compensation
ME: my annual base is 123456789 USD.
VO : ok. Type type ...
VO : so whats your highest qualification.
ME : masters of blaah in Blaah blaah Engineering.
VO : when did you graduate
Me : said month and year
VO : hang on a sec...she went in. Came back with employee work rights in US. And gave me one and said if I have any question from it.
ME : thank you.
VO: so this is a white paper that says you will get your passport and visa in 3 to 5 days.
me : thank you so much officer. You have a great day.

11th : Interview, status AP
12th : no change.
13th : Weekend
14th : Weekend
15th : status updated still AP
16th : Issued
17th : Passport ready to pickup.
19th : Passport picked up.

Just one advice to people reading this thread and forum, you should always consider in what situation people are posting here. Most people should not have any hurdle getting H1B visa stamped. The bad experience you read here are extremely rare. People who got through this process smoothly would not bother to share their experience here so most likely you will read bad experiences here, which you should consider to only learn about worst could happen but never should stress you out.

If you are genuine high skilled worker under special occupation you will be smart enough to not stress out of this whole procedure.
