I-485 Yes/No Question
One of the yes/no questions on the form I-485 is: "Have you ever been arrested, cited, charged or detained for any reason by any law enforcement official (including but not limited to any US immigration official or any official of the US armed forces or US Coast Guard)?"

My interview is this Friday. I never had any issues with law enforcement, so I marked "no" when I first applied. Since then, I got a red light camera traffic ticket - I was making a right turn and the light switched to red, so I was cited with a traffic citation. There was no officer who pulled me over/gave me the ticket. Subsequently I went to court, paid the fine and did traffic school and now my case is dismissed - I have proof for all of that. So should I answer "yes" to that question? Technically, it wasn't an actual person that cited me, and the citation explicitly states that no officer was present at the time of the violation.
