There is hope with expediting the EAD process
Hi all. I applied for my L2 EAD renewal early September. My current EAD was expiring end of December and my employer told me that if I don't provide the renewed document by 10th Dec that I will lose my job.

I called USCIS last week and expedited my case based on financial hardship. After 4 days (yesterday) my card went in production and today it says my case was approved.

Moral of the story, the USCIS expedite worked for me and there is hope.

I won't have to leave my job now and things are good again.

Here are my dates:

EAD expiring - Dec 27 2018
Renewal applied - Sep 4 2018
Receipt date - Sep 6 2018
Expedited case - Nov 2 2018
Card in production - Nov 8 2018
Case approved - Nov 9 2018

Now waiting for card to come home.
And the best part, I did not have to send any proof. :)
