I-485 Marriage-based AOS
Hello Everyone!
I first wanted to thank all of those who shared their experiences here. It has definitely helped me along the way and provided some clarification to the whole AOS process.
Here is my timeline:
I got married in June 2018.
I-485 and other forms mailed and received by USCIS - July 2018
I-765 & I-131 mailed and received by USCIS - August 2018
Fingerprints Done - August 2018
RFE Mailed, Received and Response Sent - November 2018
I submitted a response to the RFE (regarding I-864) this week, no response from USCIS yet. Hoping to be that person whose case status will quickly change from "RFE was mailed to you" to "Ready to be scheduled for interview". I'll soon (hopefully) share how it goes!
A bit upset that my EAD will most likely be delayed for an indefinite time (it's been more than 90 days) due to the RFE. However, I am very happy with the whole adjustment of status process and I perceive it more as a little family goal, that I am sure I will achieve together with my spouse.
My field office is in Jacksonville, so if there's anyone who is assigned to the same field office - share your experiences!
