Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hi everyone, I'm beyond sad and devastated right now. My interview was scheduled today for 12.05pm . However, we had a car break down on the highway on our way to the interview. We got delayed by the unforeseen situation and by the time we got to the field office after the car had been fixed, we were like 40 mins late. We were told by the receptionist that our IO already moved on and that we would have to reschedule the interview. She asked if we'd like to speak with the IO, to which we said yes. She informed the IO about our situation and asked us to wait for the IO. A black lady, who I thought was the officer that would have interviewed us, came to us and told us that they would reschedule us. I asked her what do i need to do to reschedule the interview she said nothing that I will receive a mail. My wife asked her if we could be assigned to another officer so we could have the interview done today but she said they don't have enough staffs around and that we would be rescheduled soon. My wife asked her if she was going to annotate that we showed up for the interview, to which she said yes and that she would also inform the IO that has our case. However, I'm worried because I really don't know what to expect. What do y'all think? I'm deeply troubled! Has anyone been in this situation before?
