Traveled with advance parole
Hey guys, want to share my experience of my trip to Canada, I leave in illinois about 5 hours away with the detroit-winsdor border, i traveled with DACA advance parole to my mexico thats how I was able to clear my Illegal entry. I sent my marriage based AOS aplication back in May, and ive being ready to schedule for interview since june, I received my combo card around september and I was scared of traveling ouside the country. My friend asked me if I wanted to go with him this thanks giving weekend to caesars Casino in Winsdor since he had free stays in the hotel And i acepted, i brought with me $500 US dollars in cash, he had $1000 and we drove my car. We crosed the tunnel and at the canadian check point there was a young lady Immigration officer she asked whose car it was I said it was mine, we handed our passports my friend is a US citizen she asked if we had any weapons or peper spray we said no she told me whats your legal status in the US I explained her that I was in the procces of AOS and she said “I just want to make sure that you have what you need to return to the US because you dont need anything to come to Canada mexicans only need a passport but you know how the things are in the US with the Trump” and we laughed, she asked how long we will stay i said just the weekend and she asked how much money we had we told her and I had about $10,000 and if she needed to see my bank statement and she said no. In the way back to the US at the embasador bridge in deteoit the waiting line was about 20 min there was a guy Immigration officer around his 30’s i handed my passport and combo card with my friends passport and he asked how long we stayed in canada, any weapond or stuff that guy guys bought in canada, we said no he talked to me in spanish and to my friend in english, he asked if it was our first time and canada and why did we come for, he asked my friend how do we know eachother he told him we met at work 8 years ago but now he owns his own company he asked me to open my trunk and he was there for about 5 minutes he ask how much money we had i had 200 left and my friend won money so he said 2500 and he gave our passports back and said have a good day. He didnt stamp my passport i went online to the Immigration website where you can see your I94 entries and Im able to see my travel history for 2015 and the one that I just dis to canada but when I try to look to my I94 it says that it could not find anything so I will give them a call tomorrow to seewhy it is not showing in there since I might need it for my interview in case they ask for my last entry and my passport wasnt spamped.
