H1-B Visa with DUI
Hello Everyone,
I got DUI on October 28th, 2017 but my charges got reduced to Negligent Driving 1st degree, which is a misdemeanor. Completed all the court formalities.
I have appeared for H1-B visa interview at Hyderabad consulate.
Visa Officer(VO) have issued 221g to submit medical report form the panel physician. I have completed all the formalities they have asked and submitted the passport. The following is the timeline I have gone through.
Timeline:
Oct 10th : OFC (Finger Scan)
Oct 11th : Visa interview, issued 221g to submit medical report. (Submitted the police report and the court documents.) Oct 23rd: Got the appointment with panel physician and completed all the formalities. Submitted the police report and the court documents.
Oct 25th : Medical reports are send to US Consulate.
Oct 29th : Got an email to submit the passport.
Oct 30th : Submitted the passport in the Hyderabad consulate.
Oct 31st : Case Last updated changed from Oct 11th to Oct 31st. Status: "Administrative Processing"
Nov 14th: Case last updated changed from Oct 31st to Nov 14th. Status: "Administrative Processing". Till now the passport tracking status was showing as “The passport is still with US Embassy/Consulate.”
Nov 15th : Status: "Administrative Processing". The passport tracking status was showing as “There is no status update available for the passport number submitted.”
Nov 20th : Case last updated changed from Nov 14th to Nov 20th. Status: "Administrative Processing". Till now the passport tracking status was showing as “The passport is still with US Embassy/Consulate.”
Please share your experience and when i can expect an update from consulate.
