A month of waiting for approved application
Hello everyone,
My husband and I sent our passports to NYC on Nov. 9th which were delivered on Nov. 13th. We applied to visa for Thanksgiving holiday and still are waiting to get our visas (yes, we were that stupid). Last Thursday on Nov. 29th, we got a tracking id which still does not work after a week. I have called them, used chat and emailed a number of times but none of them worked. Now, we have flight tickets next Friday and don't know if we should withdraw the application to get our passports back sooner. I don't want to waste all that effort, money and time but canceling that travel plan also will cost money. I am miserably checking status in every 15-20 mins but no update. What do you recommend? Does anyone know how much it takes to get the passport back after withdrawing the application?
