Tips on Visa Interview/Questions about Visas
Hello everyone,
I am a natural born citizen of the United States and I have a boyfriend who lives in Egypt. He is not a USA citizen nor has he been anywhere outside of Egypt. I would really love for him to be able to come visit me in the States, but I am just not sure how the Visa process works, and I want to provide him with adequate advice that could potentially allow him to get a Visa.

My first question is, which USA Visa has the best success rate? i.e Visitor Visa, Student Visa, etc. He would love to study abroad in the US, but his first priority it to see me.

My second question is, what are some focal points that he will need to take into consideration prior to the interview? He has not yet completed the application, so he is still very early in the process.

I have read many posts on here and it seems that the process for Visa denial/rejection is quite random. My boyfriend speaks great English, so I do not think that language will be an issue. He can also read and write in English. He is currently a student in Egypt working towards a Bachelor's degree, or its Egyptian equivalent. He is currently unemployed. From what I have researched, making sure you convince the consulate officer that you have a good reason to return to your home country is of great importance. He is 20 years old, so he still has a family that he would never want to leave behind, and he is very involved in his studies and would like to receive his degree from his college in Egypt. Will that be enough to convince the officer?

One other thing I thought of, would it be beneficial if I sponsored his visit?

Any other information that you might have would be very helpful as well if you are unable to answer the questions or you have other things you would like to add.
