Green Card Lost in the Mail
Hi guys,

I'm in a pretty unfortunate situation, and I'm hoping you might help me with a piece of advice.

My EAD expires on December 26. On November 30, my Green Card was mailed to me (they had approved us on the spot). I was following the tracking number updates, and almost a week ago it was out for delivery, after which it was never scanned again -- and it never made it to our mailbox. I've been in touch with our local USPS, and they literally have no idea where it is. We have a security camera footage showing that it was never delivered.

At this point, I can't request a new card from USCIS yet, but I already know this one isn't coming, because that's pretty much what USPS told me. If I don't get it in two weeks, I'm going to lose my job. I have also spent a ton of money on international tickets for holidays which, again, I now can't use.

What should I do, aside from pestering USPS with this literally every day? I'm feeling very lost and discouraged. Is there any chance USCIS might issue me a new card before the end of the year? I'm planning to call them later today, but is there anything else I can do, perhaps something to receive some sort of compensation for all the money I will lose because of this?

Thank you all in advance.
